We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Insolvency Lawyer to join our energetic team. We take pride in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients, and we hope to find a passionate top-class team member.

The Team

Our team has solid experience in various insolvency matters and complex corporate restructurings. We have worked as administrators in numerous bankruptcies and restructuring proceedings.

We advise management, shareholders, creditors, and other parties when companies are unable to fulfil their financial and contractual obligations or need to boost their business. We work regularly integrated with the law firm’s other competence groups, mainly with Corporate, Banking and Finance, Real Estate and Litigation groups. Our office in Helsinki is part of DLA Piper’s Nordic and the global restructuring team.

Job overview & qualifications

As an Insolvency Lawyer at DLA Piper, you will be responsible for handling independently a diverse range of insolvency matters and client work and relations. You will have an important role in the team with day-to-day duties in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, and other insolvency related assignments. You will provide legal advice, conduct legal research, and represent clients in insolvency and restructuring proceedings.

You are service-minded and business oriented, you have control of deadlines, and you do not step back under pressure or in a hectic environment.

Our ideal candidate will have a background (minimum 1 year work/internship experience) in insolvency law, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. We expect him/her to have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Fluent English and Finnish language skills are essential in our international working environment.

  • Compensation: Based on the recommendation of The Association of Finnish Lawyers (Juristiliitto) and previous relevant work experience. The preferred starting date would be at the beginning of March. However, we understand that notice periods and individual circumstances vary, and we are open to discussing flexible start dates for the right candidate.
