About Group Legal & Compliance 

In Group Legal & Compliance, we are responsible for providing legal advice to the business across a wide range of areas, including drafting and negotiating IT contracts with customers, participating in procurement processes, negotiating and entering into agreements with subcontractors, data protection, IP rights, and M&A processes – all with the aim to find the best possible solutions for EG.

Currently, the department consists of 14 full-time legal counsels located in Denmark (Aarhus and Ballerup) and India (Mangalore) with significant experience in IT law, procurement law, data protection law, M&A, company law and corporate governance. This gives you many opportunities for professional and qualified collaboration and learning, and we truly value teamwork, a positive atmosphere, and humor.

Your role and tasks 

As legal counsel in EG, you will handle matters within a wide range of legal areas and collaborate with various stakeholders to solve problems and ensure compliance. Your tasks will primarily be within:

• Drafting and negotiating IT contracts with customers and vendors including data processing agreements.
• Reviewing, revising and negotiating public and private tenders.
• Drafting and revising various contract templates and ensure compliance with EG’s contract management policy.
• Assisting in various M&A tasks, including integration of acquired companies into EG.
• General legal advice to the business on day-to-day legal matters.

Commercially minded, independent, and outgoing 

We are looking for a commercially minded lawyer with an interest in and experience with technology law and related legal areas. You should be eager and willing to engage in close dialogue with the business, challenge commercial terms and assessments, and be a business partner for the business on contractual, commercial and legal matters. Further, you possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, particularly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement is highly valued.

EG is currently undergoing significant development, which gives you a unique opportunity to shape your role and tasks. In addition to handling specific assignments, you will be involved in shaping internal processes in Group Legal & Compliance.

We are looking forward to hearing from you if you hold a Master of Laws or a Master of Business Law with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with IT/software law. You should demonstrate commercial understanding and be able to see connections across the business.

As a person, you are engaged, service-minded, and self-driven. You excel at completing tasks, yet you remain persistent when necessary. Last but not least, you communicate professionally at all levels of the business in both Finnish and English, in both written and spoken forms.
