White & Case in Helsinki is recruiting law students who have completed the majority of their studies to work as Associate Trainees during the trainee programs in 2026. Our Associate Trainees work full-time for a fixed-term period of approximately four months.

Our trainee program offers law students an opportunity to gain experience and training in a global law firm. Associate Trainees work on assignments across our three core practice areas: Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Debt Finance, and also on Competition law matters. Typical assignments for trainees include legal research, legal translation, dealing with various governmental authorities, supporting in due diligence processes, as well as drafting various transaction documents, memoranda and minutes. Our Associate Trainees work closely with our lawyers based in Helsinki and other White & Case offices and have full access to our internal trainings.

We want to recruit trainees with energy and enthusiasm – individuals who show initiative, adaptability and have the ability to work in teams but are not afraid of individual responsibility. We expect great communication and language skills from our trainees. Law students interested in an Associate Trainee position should have finished the majority of their studies to maximize their benefit from the trainee program. Further, having international experience is considered an advantage.
