Our next Legal Trainee program kicks off in May 2026 and runs full-time for 8 months. It’s designed for law students nearing graduation and offers hands-on experience close to that of a newly qualified lawyer. You’ll work alongside our team to draft legal documents, carry out legal research, and take on a variety of assignments that keep you on the pulse of change.

What we expect from you

• Academic background and interests
  You are a soon-to-be law graduate with a genuine interest in business law. While Dottir’s expertise covers several key areas, this trainee position is specifically for our Corporate and M&A, Technology & IP, and Dispute Resolution practices. In your application, please indicate which of these three areas interests you the most – and feel free to mention any other areas you are passionate about. Although you will be assigned to one of these practices, you will also collaborate across the board with colleagues from every corner of Dottir.
• Language skills
  Fluency in both written and spoken Finnish and English, both of which are assessed during the process (applications in English, assessments and interviews in Finnish).
• Mindset & skills
  You’re quick on the uptake, committed to high-quality work, and have an eye that catches the details others miss. You’ve got A+ communication skills, and bring your A-game to everything you do.
• Collaboration & adaptability
  You thrive on working with others and jump at something new. Different project, unexpected curveball – you’re all in.
