Are you interested in gaining more experience in corporate governance and other legal matters in a stock listed company while completing your university studies? Are you looking for an opportunity to work in an international environment with great colleagues?

We are now looking for a second or third-year law student to work as a part-time Legal Trainee in our headquarters in Helsinki. This position is a parental leave substitution from October/November 2022 to the end of August 2023.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • supporting with board meetings, Annual General Meeting and other corporate governance matters of a listed company
  • assisting with insider list management
  • managing our contract database
  • performing legal research
  • dealing with authorities

Depending on your experience and interest, responsibilities may also include supporting with contract drafting and review and assisting with ad-hoc projects.

You will be reporting directly to Suominen’s Head of Legal.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • completed 2-3 years of legal studies
  • proactive attitude and attention to detail in both routine work as well as more complex assignments
  • excellent communication skills in Finnish and English, other language skills are considered an asset
  • experience in working with similar tasks is considered as an advantage
