What We Are Looking For
Are you a law student in your third or fourth year? Do you want to get the best possible start to your career in law? If so, you may just have what it takes to be one of our next knowledge management trainees. We hope you are precise, aim for perfection, and have a basic knowledge of law as well as an eye for detail. We also appreciate a genuine interest in legal knowledge management, strong IT skills, and fluency in Finnish and English. Knowledge of Swedish and other languages would be considered a bonus. By the time you start in the position, you should have completed 150 credits.

We will offer you a great learning opportunity and an insight to how a large law firm functions. You will gain highly valued work experience in one of the top Nordic law firms. As a KM trainee, you will assist our lawyers in research and fact-finding and take care of other library routines. KM trainees help our Knowledge Management Team manage the library collections (electronic & physical), edit pieces of news, perform information searches, compile research materials etc. Before diving into your duties, you will participate in a comprehensive orientation that provides you with all the tools you will need to succeed in your tasks. During your time at Hannes Snellman, you are also welcome to take part in our mentoring breakfasts, trainee evenings and Hannes Academy trainings on various legal and professional subjects.
As a KM trainee, you will work part-time during semester and generally full-time during summer. The duration of the employment as well as your working hours will be agreed on separately. However, the preferred duration of the traineeship is 12 months. We now welcome applications for the periods starting in January and May 2020.
