As a Junior Trainee, you will work part-time 1–3 days per week. Our Junior Trainees are at an early stage in their law studies, typically second or third-year students. Junior Trainees assist our lawyers and other staff in daily office tasks, but also get to do more demanding tasks such as drafting documents, small translation tasks and legal research.

As an Associate Trainee, you usually work full-time and concentrate on a particular field of law. Our Associate Trainees’ work tasks are similar to those of newly graduated lawyers, for example, performing extensive legal research, drafting memoranda and legal documents as well as translating documents. An ideal Associate Trainee candidate is a law student who is in the final stage of their studies already having completed their bachelor’s degree.

  • Magnusson was established in 2004 in Denmark, Poland and Sweden
  • Some 130 lawyers
  • Some 160 people in total
  • 7 countries

We value character over abilities and skills. The trainee we are looking for is motivated, responsible and eager to learn. Fluency in Finnish and English is required, other language skills, especially Swedish, are regarded as an advantage. Previous experience of working in a law firm or other legal position is considered an asset.

We recruit 4 – 8 students on an annual basis.

We do not have any formal trainee programmes or application periods.

We arrange one interview round.

We offer you an easy-going work environment and the opportunity to work in a truly international law firm.

The timing and length of each traineeship is agreed upon separately with each trainee candidate.

Usually, the employment is a fixed term of 4 – 12 months.
