Your mission

We are now looking for a business-oriented Legal Trainee to support Matrix42’s international legal function in its various daily tasks and projects. As a Legal Trainee you will be responsible of:

• Assist drafting and commenting commercial agreements (e.g. NDAs, sales contracts, DPAs)
• Assisting in data protection matters
• Planning and implementing a contract management process
• Corporate governance tasks of an international software business
• Supporting in corporate development and M&A activities
• Assisting in any other current projects/tasks the team may have

The position is part-time and for a fixed term until 31.12.2025. The role is based in Espoo, Finland, with a hybrid working option.

Your profile
Must have:

• Law student past mid-point of your studies
• Business acumen and a keen interest in software business
• Excellent skills in Finnish and English are needed to succeed in the role.

Nice to have:

• Skills in German considered a big plus
• Work experience from a law firm or legal department is a plus
• Some understanding and/or previous experience from data protection matters
