As a Legal Trainee, you will support the global Legal & Compliance team in a broad range of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the function in an international and evolving legal, compliance and ethical environment.

 

Your role:

• Reviewing and drafting routine commercial contracts and other corporate documentation, such as NDAs, POAs and board/general meeting minutes.

• Supporting the Legal & Compliance team in administrative tasks such as handling legal documentation, managing databases and developing processes.

• Supporting the Legal & Compliance team in various projects such as M&A.

• Supporting with the implementation of Outokumpu’ s Ethics and Compliance Program, including conducting of third-party screenings and creation of documentation and training materials.

• Conducting legal research and monitoring developments in the legislative and business context.

 

About you:

• Bachelor of Laws (at the time of start of the traineeship).

• Fluent in Finnish and English, in both verbal and written form.

• Prior international exposure, such as student exchange or traineeship abroad, is an advantage.

• Prior trainee experience from a law firm or an in-house legal team.

• Ability to work under pressure, flexibility, ability to take initiative and responsibility, helpful and curious attitude, trustworthiness, and reliability.

• Working knowledge of Swedish, German, or Spanish is an advantage (but not required!).

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You will be located in our Headquarters in Helsinki and report to Head of Legal, Group Functions. We are looking for one to start approximately in the beginning of October 2024, and another in May 2025.

Nevertheless, these starting dates are flexible and can be adjusted depending on the availability of the candidate, so please apply and indicate when you would be available even if it would differ from these dates.
