We are currently looking for a lawyer to join our Competition & Regulatory Team as a senior associate. We are looking for someone with a minimum of four years of relevant work experience, and we believe that an ideal new colleague would be someone who has worked in a law firm, an in-house position, or a competition or other regulatory authority.

Hannes Snellman’s Competition & Regulatory Team regularly advises clients on the most challenging competition issues, particularly in matters relating to competition law, antitrust, and merger control. Additionally, the team advises companies through a variety of regulatory matters, such as domestic and foreign state aid and foreign direct investment screening. Your Role and Responsibilities

As a senior associate in our Competition & Regulatory Team, you will be advising our clients on all aspects of EU and Finnish competition law as well as state aid and other regulation, with your role including both client and project management responsibilities and tackling complex legal questions. You will be working alongside your colleagues and will also have the opportunity to use your mentoring and coaching skills. As the team is regularly ranked highly in relevant fields by its clients and peers, you will also have a key role in maintaining and developing the business together with your colleagues.

What We Expect of You

We are now looking for a team member with:

• a genuine personal interest in the wide range of competition and regulatory issues and at least four years of practical experience within it
• a forward looking yet analytical way of working with attention to detail
• enthusiasm to provide world-class advice to our clients
• excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with collaborative mindset
• ability to work with AI tools
• fluency in Finnish and English (other languages would be considered a bonus)
