Our multi-practice Projects & Environment team answers the growing needs of our clients in industrial investment, energy, and the green transition. We regularly work with demanding projects in offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydro and nuclear energy, exploration and mining, hydrogen generation, forest, chemical and manufacturing industries, battery value chain, renewable fuels, carbon capture and storage, heat recovery, datacenters, circular economy, and many other similar areas. Many of the assignments we work on are first of their kind.

We are now looking for a Senior Associate with a focus on environmental and energy law to join our growing team. As part of the Projects & Environment team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of assignments in our Environment & Natural Resources, Industrial Investments, and Energy & Infrastructure practices and advice on the key aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle. Examples include:

• advising on compliance with environmental, energy, climate, waste, chemicals, and natural resources law
• developing permitting strategies and supporting project implementation
• strategic advice on environmental impact assessment, land use planning and permitting processes as well as appeal processes
• advocacy related to legislative initiatives affecting energy, infrastructure and industrial projects and investments
• assisting clients in navigating ESG regulations
• drafting and negotiating project agreements with regulatory and project development content
• assessing and negotiating environmental considerations in transactions

We are now looking for people with a law degree who:

• have 3–7 years of post-graduation experience working with environmental and energy law
• are genuinely interested in green transition and in new and emerging technologies
• take pride in the quality of their work and client service
• enjoy working with complex issues as a member of a highly capable team
• have an interest in business and the difference first-class advice can make for the success of our clients
• have excellent spoken and written communication skills, including fluency in English
