We are currently looking for a corporate sustainability and ESG legal trainee to join our team in autumn 2025.
As a corporate sustainability and ESG legal trainee, your job will be to assist our lawyers and other professionals in developing our Corporate Sustainability and ESG practice. The tasks will vary but might include, for example, conducting legal and market research and analysis and ESG-regulatory landscape follow-up, creating databases, co-organising ESG-related training, assisting in building queries and searches, and drafting memos and other written materials.
The exact duration of your employment and working hours will be agreed on separately. However, the ideal duration of the traineeship is six to eight months working approximately three days a week, and ideally, you would be able to start in September 2025.

Skills and Requirements
As this is a trainee position, we do not expect you to know everything, but to ensure that you will be able to succeed in your duties, we are looking for someone who:
– has at least 180 study credits before starting – has a genuine and high interest in corporate sustainability and ESG matters – is fluent in Finnish and English (Swedish and other languages would be considered a bonus) – has attention to detail but is also able to see the bigger picture – is proactive in taking initiative – has good interpersonal skills
Most of all, we value positive attitude and willingness to learn.

We also have a very special traineeship available, as our corporate sustainability and ESG legal trainee will get to continue their traineeship in Nordea’s ESG Legal function for one to two months following their traineeship with us. The internship at Nordea will offer an excellent opportunity to see what it is like to work as an in-house lawyer in the biggest bank of the Nordic countries.
