About RÖDL

Founded in 1977 to support internationally active companies on their path of growth and development, Rödl is today one of the leading international advisory firms. Our service offering spans legal advice, tax consulting, audit, accounting, finance services and IT consulting. Worldwide, we have 117 offices in 50 countries and more than 6,000 employees.

Our Finnish tax team at RÖDL Attorneys Ltd advises Finnish and international clients on both domestic and cross-border taxation, including tax planning, tax appeals, tax audits and corporate restructurings. To continue building this practice, we are looking for two new colleagues to join our tax department on a full-time basis: a Senior Tax Specialist to lead the team and a Junior Tax Specialist to grow alongside experienced colleagues in an international environment.

Senior Tax Specialist

We are looking for an experienced tax professional to lead our growing tax team, combining hands-on client work with responsibility for the team’s development, day-to-day direction and tax related product development. You will work integrated into our legal team and collaborate with BPO colleagues to deliver integrated advice to Finnish and international corporate clients.

Role and responsibilities
  • Advising Finnish and international clients on domestic and cross-border tax matters, including corporate and personal income tax, transfer pricing and VAT
  • Leading and developing tax planning projects and corporate restructurings from a tax perspective
  • Representing and assisting clients in tax audits and tax appeals before the tax authorities and administrative courts
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the tax team, including day-to-day guidance for junior colleagues
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact for key clients, and contributing to business development and client relationships
  • Collaborating closely with our legal team, as well as with BPO, audit and international colleagues across the Rödl network
  • Contributing to knowledge sharing through articles, newsletters, webinars and trainings
We expect from you
  • A Master’s degree in Law or Economics, with a focus on taxation
  • 5+ years of relevant experience following graduation in tax advisory, in-house tax, or with the tax authorities
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a team, or a clear readiness and motivation to take on that responsibility
  • Strong technical knowledge of Finnish and international corporate taxation
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong client relationship skills
  • Excellent written and spoken Finnish and English; German is an advantage

Junior Tax Specialist

We are also looking for a junior tax professional to strengthen our tax team. This role gives you the opportunity to build your career in a national and international expert environment, working across both Finnish and cross-border tax matters.

Role and responsibilities
  • Assisting with tax advisory work for Finnish and international corporate clients, including research and drafting of memoranda and opinions
  • Supporting tax planning projects, corporate restructurings and due diligence from a tax perspective
  • Assisting with tax audits, tax appeals and correspondence with the tax authorities
  • Preparing tax returns and related compliance and administrative filings
  • Participating in client meetings and contributing to internal and external knowledge-sharing initiatives, such as articles, newsletters and webinars
We expect from you
  • A Master’s degree in Law or Economics, with a focus on taxation
  • 1+ years of relevant experience following graduation in tax advisory, in-house tax, or with the tax authorities
  • A careful, proactive approach to work, a positive attitude and a genuine interest in developing professionally
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent written and spoken Finnish and English; German is an advantage
