Bird & Bird’s Dispute Resolution group in Helsinki is looking for new talents to join the team!

Are you a commercially minded, ambitious lawyer with a genuine passion for litigation and dispute resolution, who thrives in an international environment? If you are ready to lead on complex matters and take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for two senior lawyers with solid experience in dispute resolution matters, gained at a business law firm or comparable environment. One role suits a lawyer with around 10 years’ litigation experience, while the other is aimed at a lawyer with at least four years’ experience. Experience in white-collar crime cases is particularly valued for one of the positions.

The team

Bird & Bird’s Dispute Resolution group advises local and international clients on complex, high-value disputes, ranging from trade secrets and commercial conflicts to major construction claims. Our expertise also covers white-collar crime and corporate criminal liability, including investigations, compliance and sanctions. As a fully integrated part of Bird & Bird’s international network, our lawyers have the opportunity to work on interesting cross-border assignments alongside colleagues across Europe and beyond. About you

You are the person we are looking for if you are motivated to become a trusted advisor to our clients and are driven by professional excellence. You combine strong legal expertise with a practical, commercial mindset, and genuinely own your work — both independently and as a collaborative member of a collegial team. We are hiring at two seniority levels (approximately 4+ and 10 years’ experience), with one role placing particular emphasis on white-collar crime cases.

In addition, you are an excellent fit for our team if you have:

• extensive experience in dispute resolution, covering civil and criminal proceedings as well as arbitration (international experience is an asset);
• strong expertise in Finnish procedural law, with a proven ability to independently manage cases and deliver high-quality work;
• experience in white-collar crime and regulatory investigations (particularly relevant for one of the roles);
• a proactive, responsible approach with the ability to take ownership, collaborate effectively, and support junior colleagues;
• excellent client and communication skills, commercial awareness, a business-oriented advisory style, and fluency in Finnish and English.
