EY

Are you a recent law graduate or an early-career legal professional looking to develop your expertise in an international and multidisciplinary environment?

EY is strengthening its legal services in Finland and is looking for new colleagues to join our teams in Helsinki. We are currently recruiting for two permanent positions:

Competition Lawyer

Join our growing Competition Law practice and develop your expertise in Finnish and EU competition law and foreign direct investment screening. You will work alongside experienced colleagues on assignments such as merger control and FDI assessments, regulatory filings, legal research and analysis, competition law matters, and selected M&A assignments. As you develop in the role, you will gradually take greater ownership of assignments and gain opportunities for direct client interaction.

This opportunity may be a great fit for you if you have a Finnish Master of Laws degree or equivalent qualification, up to two years of relevant experience, and a genuine interest in competition law. We particularly value strong analytical, research and communication skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Fluency in Finnish and English is required.

Legal Counsel, M&A Law

Join one of Finland’s leading M&A practices and build your expertise in transaction law by working on domestic and cross-border transactions across different industries. You will have the opportunity to support transactions throughout the deal lifecycle, conduct and coordinate legal due diligence, analyse transaction-related risks, prepare transaction documentation, and assist with signing, closing and deal project management.

This role may be a great fit for you if you have a Finnish Master of Laws degree or equivalent qualification, are a recent graduate or have up to two years of relevant experience, and are interested in transactions and the wider business landscape. We value attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and an interest in legal technology and AI-driven tools. Fluency in Finnish and English is required.

You will have opportunities to contribute to varied client assignments, take on responsibility early and continuously develop your legal and commercial expertise.

EY offers a supportive and inclusive working environment, diverse training opportunities, more than 50 employee benefits, a flexible hybrid working model, and coaching to support your career development and wellbeing.
