Hannes Snellman Asianajotoimisto Oy
Hannes Snellman is a law firm with 300 outstanding professionals based in Finland.
We are currently looking for Knowledge Management Trainees for the trainee periods starting in May and September. This position would suit someone who is in the third or fourth year of their studies, wishes to gain experience of working in an international environment, and is eager to put their skills into practice.
”The best thing about Hannes is definitely the people and the open environment: from day one, you feel like you’re part of the team. One of the best aspects of being a KM trainee is that you’re never alone with your tasks: you can bounce ideas around with your team and share a laugh along the way. The KM trainee position is also great because you get to conduct research for different practices, which helps you discover your own areas of interest. That’s how I found mine, for example!” – KM Trainee, autumn 2024
Job Description and Responsibilities
You will be working part time assisting our lawyers in research and fact-finding, and taking care of other library routines. KM trainees also help to manage the library collections (electronic & physical), edit pieces of news, perform information searches, compile research materials, etc. The duration of the employment and your working hours will be agreed on separately. However, the preferred duration of the traineeship is 12 months.
Skills and Requirements
As this is a trainee position, we do not expect you to know everything, but to ensure that you will be able to succeed in your duties, we do require:
– at least 150 study credits before starting – genuine interest in business law and knowledge management – fluency in Finnish and English (Swedish and other languages would be considered a bonus) – attention to detail – ability to take initiative – good interpersonal skills
Most of all, we value positive attitude and willingness to learn.
What Is in It For You?
At Hannes Snellman, we cherish a sense of community, and we will do our best to make you feel part of the team from day one. On your first day, you will be assigned a tutor who will support you throughout your traineeship, and before diving into your duties, you will participate in a comprehensive orientation. Our trainees also have the chance to get together in a more informal setting when we organise traditional trainee evenings or other fun events. As we are determined to maximise your learning experience as a trainee, you will receive regular feedback and have the opportunity to attend our Hannes Academy lectures and mentoring breakfasts on a variety of topics. We also offer you good benefits (lunch and recreation benefit, and a ticket for public transport) and a competitive salary.
