About the role

This Regulatory Office position is one of the six positions available in our 2025 programme. In this position you will learn and understand how we operate in the regulated banking environment. You will be part of a team that ensures awareness of regulation and legislation within the bank and supports the business units with interpretation, implementation and follow-up of regulatory requirements. Good collaboration skills, integrity and determination will help you to gain expertise in this field. As an intern in our small and dynamic team you will analyze the impact of regulatory changes and ensure that relevant stakeholders are kept informed. You also have the unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of regulatory work in our bank. Ability to find relevant information, assess it and apply it to the daily business is vital in this role. Various internal stakeholders trust in our high-quality advice. Therefore, the ability to break down and communicate complex information in an understandable way is of essence in this position. Analytical and critical, yet open mind is your greatest asset. For this internship we are primarily looking for a law student mid-way through their studies. We are looking for an intern for the spring 2025.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

·   Background as a law student

·   Genuine interest in the financial markets and eagerness to learn

·   Excellent communication and networking skills

·   Good analytical skills and strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint

·   Fluency in English and Finnish

Previous experience in the area of financial regulation, risk or quality control in a regulated financial organization and/or studies within financial market law is regarded as an advantage.

What we offer

·   International opportunities and working environment

·   Friendly and welcoming culture

·   Encouraging work-life balance

·   Extensive training and learning opportunities

We are 300 colleagues in Finland, working at our activity-based office in the centre of Helsinki. Our office is designed for us – to support good collaboration and wellbeing at work. We are proud of our high engagement and job satisfaction. At SEB you can combine the opportunities of an international organisation with the responsibility, flexibility and variety of tasks enabled by our relatively small and thus agile teams in Helsinki.
