Legal Trainees

We are looking for several part-time trainees to join our Legal team to support the daily work of the global Legal team. The selected trainees will be working together with different Legal specialist teams depending on their interests and previous experience.

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future

Depending on your trainee role, you will:

• Assist Legal team members with their daily tasks in a wide range of legal and compliance questions;
• Handle commercial contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property, R&D and / or compliance matters and advising business on various legal questions; and
• Work closely with Neste’s Legal Counsels to strengthen Neste’s legal team and also in direct contact with our business and stakeholders.

Additionally, we see that the best combination of experiences, skills and background in this position would be:

• Legal studies, currently at the early, mid or final stage of your studies at university
• Previous work experience in the legal industry (in house or business law firm) demonstrating ability to carry out work independently in a fast-paced professional environment
• Motivated, responsible and independent approach to your work
• Previous knowledge or genuine interest in the company’s field of operation
• Attention to detail
• Good negotiation and communication skills; team player attitude
• Good language skills; fluent English and Finnish, written and spoken, knowledge in any other language is considered an asset

We also value

• Experience in one or more of the following areas is appreciated (although not required for all positions): privacy matters, competition law, logistics, intellectual property law, R&D matters and / or corporate law.

The planned time period of the traineeship is from January 2023 until the end of April 2023 on a part time basis. Please indicate if you would be interested in continuing with us during the summer 2023 (on a full-time basis).

Your salary will be determined based on the complexity of the role and the number of credits you have from your studies.
