OFFICE SUPPORT TRAINEE PROGRAMME

• The perfect opportunity to become familiar with the various aspects of legal work.
• The trainee programme is intended for students in the early phase of their studies.
• The traineeship runs for eight months. Working is part-time, approximately 1–2 days per week.

As an office support trainee, you help keep things running at the office by assisting our lawyers and business services in various tasks, such as collating materials, couriering and mailing documents, as well as covering for our reception staff at our front desk and switchboard. In addition, our team members also help with various ongoing projects. The trainee programme is the perfect opportunity to become familiar with the various aspects of legal work at one of Finland's most prestigious law firms, all while making valuable contacts with respected and like-minded professionals.

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT TRAINEE

• A great way to familiarise yourself with legal research and information retrieval.
• The trainee programme is intended for students who have finished two to three years of studies and are familiar with most fields of law, especially business law.
• The traineeship runs for one year. Working is part-time, usually 2–3 days per week.

The KM team assists our lawyers in legal research and information retrieval for a broad range of challenging and high-profile assignments focusing on both domestic and international markets, and supports the firm's legal practices stay up to date with legal, regulatory and market developments. We offer you the opportunity to develop your skills through diverse and varied assignments in a team of dedicated and talented professionals. We also provide you with professional development through trainings at Krogerus Academy, as well as the chance to unwind and spend time with your peers at social events and sport activities.

ASSOCIATE TRAINEE PROGRAMME

• Work as a part of one of our teams and get valuable insight on the practice area most interesting to you.
• The trainee programme is intended for law students close to graduation.
• The traineeship runs for four months. Working is full-time.

As an associate trainee you get to work and gain valuable insight in one or two practice areas most interesting to you. With us, you get a chance to steepen your learning curve and develop your skills through diverse and varied assignments, tutoring and trainings. Associate trainees assist our lawyers in various client matters by gathering information, drafting and reviewing documents as well as conducting legal research. We start the trainee programme with an orientation week, and during the programme you receive coaching and feedback to support your professional development. Our trainee programme is a four-month ride to experience the bustle of one of the largest law firms in Finland and a chance to grow your network and to have fun with your peers at social events and activities.

CANDIDATES

What kind of experience do you expect from the candidates?

We appreciate a keen interest in business law and an eagerness to learn. Previous working experience from a law firm is not required.

Required or favoured languages

Good communication skills in Finnish and English are required. Swedish and other language skills are also highly valued.

What kind of value do you put on grades?

We appreciate good academic records as they are a sign of high motivation and eagerness to learn. Good grades are a great asset, however we evaluate each candidate as a whole and take multiple skills into consideration when making the final decisions.​

What else do you value in a employee?

We value preciseness, resilience, solid analytical skills, and an ability to communicate clearly. Most important is your motivation and courage to develop as a professional and willingness to meet new challenges as a part of our team.

We recruit 50-60 students on an annual basis
