Uponor Corporation is looking for a Legal Counsel to join Uponor Group Legal team at the head office in Helsinki, Finland. This is a full-time, permanent position and we work in a flexible, hybrid working model.

Our Legal team manages and supervises legal matters related to day-to-day business of Uponor Group companies and ensures compliance with rules and regulations, including those set for a publicly listed company in Finland. We advise and assist business in a variety of matters, including contractual e.g. agreements on sales and purchasing, IT, treasury, technology development, internal transfer pricing and services, as well as other matters related to Group legal structure, M&A, product claims, dispute resolution, competition and personal data protection. Our team collaborates with various global and local Uponor functions, contract partners and with external counsels.

Your focus as a Legal Counsel would be to provide legal support to business in indirect sourcing at Uponor, especially in ICT and data protection:

• Responsible for legal support to Uponor IT organisation, including e.g. contractual matters related to licenses, outsourcing, maintenance, services and consulting
• Key contact giving legal advice in certain data protection topics, including data protection risk assessment documentation, data processing agreements
• Draft, review and support in negotiations of other purchase & service agreements, as well as non-disclosure agreements

We expect you to have:

• A Master’s degree in Law (from a university located in European Union)
• A few years of previous relevant working/trainee experience in the industry or in a law firm
• Experience in contract drafting and personal data protection
• International experience considered an advantage
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to draft and negotiate agreements fluently in English – other languages, especially Finnish, Swedish and German considered an advantage
