Borenius is growing significantly in the area of large industrial investments and green transition projects. We already have one of the leading Nordic teams in this large cross-sector practice area. With the pace of investments increasing the number of our mandates, we are eager to add to our senior lawyer capabilities.

Our Projects & Construction and Energy & Infrastructure teams are at the forefront of the green transition, providing market-leading advice on strategic projects and investments. Our expertise also extends to managing complex energy and infrastructure transactions where sector-specific knowledge and a grasp of regulatory nuances are essential.

We assist our clients from the very early stages of their projects onwards – whether that be structuring, acquisition or development, or the procurement or tender phase. Our team takes the lead on negotiating and documenting the full array of project agreements tailored to case-specific needs. We also provide hands-on support during the construction phase, tackling challenges through contract management, dispute avoidance, and strategic advisory. Our approach is collaborative, also drawing on the strengths of our cross-discipline Real Estate and Environment & Natural Resources teams to ensure complex projects are executed with the foresight and flexibility required.

As the green transition accelerates, Borenius has taken its capabilities to the topmost level. Join our multi-disciplinary team offering market-leading advice when clients across different industries carry out investments critical to their business. We are looking to recruit persons with both project agreement and energy industry expertise, and we hope to interview candidates with work experience from either law firms or from crucial roles supporting projects as inhouse counsel.

What do you need to succeed?

• A master’s degree in law and relevant qualifications to practice law in Finland
• At least four years of experience in legal matters related to projects and construction and/or energy and infrastructure
• Core capabilities in drafting and negotiating construction and supply agreements and/or advising on energy industry mandates in a senior role
  • Knowledge of environment and natural resources matters or experience from claims and dispute management related to construction considered an additional merit
• Proven capabilities in coordinating teams cooperating on different streams of work in multi-faceted assignments
• A willingness to strive for outstanding performance and dedication to serve our most demanding clients with excellence
• An analytical and goal-oriented way of working with a business-oriented mindset
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
