We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Insolvency Lawyer to join our vigorous team. We take pride in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients and we hope to find a passionate top-class team member.

Our team has solid experience in various insolvency matters and complex corporate restructurings. We have worked as administrators in numerous bankruptcies and restructuring proceedings.

We advise management, shareholders, creditors, and other parties when companies are unable to fulfil their financial and contractual obligations or need to boost their business. We work regularly integrated with the law firm’s other competence groups, mainly with Corporate, Banking and Finance and Litigation groups. Our office in Helsinki is part of DLA Piper’s Nordic and the global restructuring team.

As an Insolvency lawyer at DLA Piper, you will be responsible for handling independently a diverse range of insolvency matters and client work and relations. You will have an important role in the team with day-to-day duties in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, and other insolvency related assignments. You will provide legal advice, conduct legal research, and represent clients in insolvency and restructuring proceedings.

An ideal candidate will have a strong background in insolvency law, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. He/she can work on his/her own initiative as well as part of the team.

To perform well, you should have several (5+) years of experience practicing insolvency law and preferably a bar admission in Finland. You are service-minded and business oriented, you have control of deadlines, and you do not step back under pressure or in a hectic environment.

You are a sharp professional with strong knowledge of insolvency legislation and other relevant regulations. You are an excellent negotiator, skilled communicator, and have ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

It is considered an advantage if you have experience of court proceedings and litigation.

Fluent English and Finnish language skills are essential in our international working environment.

We offer a world of opportunity, where you can make a world of difference. Also, we offer exceptional career opportunities to our lawyers, aspiring graduates, and business services professionals in a truly challenging and rewarding environment. Our unique global Career Academy provides development opportunities for all lawyers in different positions.

Among these we will offer you a competitive salary and a bonus model, and benefits e.g. lunch coupon, wellness, flexible working arrangements, and broad healthcare.

The preferred starting date would be in the beginning of April. However, we understand that notice periods and individual circumstances vary, and we are open to discussing flexible start dates for the right candidate.

If you meet the qualifications and are excited about the opportunity to contribute to our growing practice, please submit your resume and cover letter application as soon as possible or latest by 13 February 2024. We read applications on an ongoing basis.
